Will I work directly with you?
Yes! I work one-on-one with all of my students. You will never be handed off to someone less qualified.
What is your availability?
Being a student in this day and age is a huge commitment. As such, I work every day from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM Central Time in order to provide you the greatest flexibility and convenience. I generally book out my appointments 4-5 days in advance, but as long as you reach out early, I am typically able to accommodate your schedule. Additionally, by popular demand, I offer an Early Bird/Night Owl rate between the hours of 6:00 to 9:00 AM and 7:00 to 12:00 PM Central Time for an additional $20 per hour.
I am apprehensive about online tutoring. How does this work and is it effective?
By now, most of my students are well-accustomed to studying in an online format. If you are still worried about online tutoring, there is no need! I have found online tutoring to be equally effective as in-person tutoring. Additionally, online tutoring gives you the convenience of working with me right from the comfort of your own home.
Do you work only with students in certain states?
I regularly work with students from across the country and the world.
Do you have any experience working with students with learning disorders?
Yes, I do. In fact, working with students with learning disorders is one of my areas of focus. My extensive experience in developmental psychology, neuroscience, and clinical psychology have allowed me to develop effective strategies to combat common difficulties, such as with time management and focus.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Most of my students choose to pay via Venmo or Zelle for convenience. Payment can also be made by cash or check, although these forms of payment will take longer to process. PayPal can be used as well, but a small service fee will be assessed.
I am interested in working with you, but I don’t know if I can afford it. Do you offer discounts?
I seek to provide affordable, yet expert and professional personalized tutoring for my students. Yet, I realize that my services may still be out of reach for some families. If this is the case, please contact me directly, and we will work something out.
What is your cancelation policy?
My cancelation policy:
- If a student wishes to cancel the lesson, he/she must provide notice at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the lesson.
- If a student cancels the lesson between 24 and 8 hours in advance, a cancellation fee of 50% of the lesson cost will be assessed.
- If a student cancels the lesson between 8 and 4 hours in advance, a cancellation fee of 75% of the lesson cost will be assessed.
- If a student cancels less than 4 hours in advance, a cancellation fee of 90% of the lesson cost will be assessed.
- If a student arrives to a lesson more than 15 minutes late, the lesson will be considered cancelled and a fee of 100% will be assessed.
My Commitment:
- I value my students' time very highly. Thus, I make every effort to adhere to scheduled lessons. However, if I am more than 20 minutes late, I will discount the lesson and charge only 60% of the scheduled lesson cost.
- If I cancel a lesson with less than 2 hours’ notice, you will not be charged.
